A piggyback is a piggyback and the main function is to alter the MAP/MAF signal. The SAFC does this just fine as we have been able to extract over 500whp with the SAFC. The DTEC-FC gives you a few more features such as higher tuning resolution with 18 adjustable RPM points, and four adjustable load reference points. The DTEC also has the ability to store four user programmable fuel maps, and gives you datalogging features to vital vehicle sensors such as knock and injector duty cycle. Additionally, the DTEC will interface and datalog with optional AEM Wideband O2.
Just like any other piggyback on the market for the SRT-4/GT Cruiser, you will have to wire it in to the factory PCM harness. If you have ever installed an aftermarket radio in a vehicle, you will have no problem wiring in the DTEC.
