AMS Evo Race Intercooler & Piping Kit

The same intercooler kit we use on our own 9.41 second, 156.6 mph drag monster & Chris Strother’s infamous 903 awhp Black Evo. If you are putting out over 600 awhp you need the AMS Race Intercooler to lower your air intake temps & reduce pressure drop.

The AMS replacement intercooler core for your EVO VIII is a direct bolt on utilizing your stock piping with purpose built endtanks for the EVO VIII. The bar and plate style core is 12.4" tall, 20" wide (28" with endtanks) and 3.625 " thick with over 1250 cfm flow at 1 psi pressure loss, additionally this intercooler has over 80% more internal flow area than it's stock counterpart. You can expect an average gain of 20 hp at the engine depending on your level of tune, we recommend this core as the ultimate bolt on EVO VIII intercooler upgrade available.

This 100% stainless steel lower intercooler pipe is a replacement for the restrictive lower pipe that comes stock on your evo. The stock pipe makes extra bends and necks down to less than 1.5" at one point. Our pipe flows smoothly and without restriction from the turbo outlet to the intercooler. Installation is easy and can be installed at home in less than 2 hours. Through our extensive parts prototyping and dyno testing programs we have found that replacing the lower pipe alone is worth 7-10 HP.

This 100% polished aluminum upper intercooler pipe is a replacement for the upper pipe that comes stock on your evo. Its three piece design eliminates many of the stock bends and rubber couplers. Through our extensive parts prototyping and dyno testing programs we have found that replacing the upper pipe will free up a few additional horsepower. Installation is very easy and can be installed at home in less than an hour. This kit only fits the stock intake manifold.

Created to be the most reliable blow off valve system available, the Type-RS's state-of-the-art design allows for greater performance in a compact size. Improved response and increased pressure are achieved through carefully selected spring rates and a large 40mm valve. The real unique feature of the Type-RS blow off valve is the CNC machined 8 discharge ports that draw in the surrounding air to amplify the blow-off sound. The Type-RS is compatible with the standard GReddy Blow-off Valve flanges.

Made from billet aluminium, this recirculating diverter valve dumps the charge-air back into the air intake system keeping external noise to a minimum. This increases both quicker throttle response and higher clamping load to maintain boost pressure more reliably. Unlike the Diaphragms valves this uses a single piston single spring to prevent the valve from leaking air into the intake system at idle. This prevents our diverter valves suffering any of the failures associated with single piston and diaphragm type diverter valves. The Forge divertor valve is a direct replacement for the stock unit on your EVO VIII

For use on turbo-charged and super-charged applications (Paxton, Vortec, etc.). The body and all internal components are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum alloy. It features a large 1.98 in (50.5mm) valve; we believe this is the largest valve available with the highest flow capacity.

- The V-Band design aluminum mounting clamp gives a very clean and unique appearance. The clamp is anodized and uses Stainless Steel hardware for a long lasting, corrosion-free appearance.

- The valve seal utilizes a Viton O-ring that is clamped in place to prevent the possibility of sticking to the seat and pulling out. The valve stem and guide are Teflon-lubricated, hard anodize-coated for wear resistance.

- The Blow Off Valve also comes with our own machined aluminum banjo-type air fitting and bolt, with over sized 10mm hose barb for quick actuator response. The actuator has a high temp silicone Nomex-reinforced diaphragm for long life.

The use of 6061 aluminum allows the housing to be anodized with a selection of colors where most cast aluminum alloys can not be anodized. This allows the individual to match, or coordinate, the engine compartment color scheme. The clamp, valve, and housing will be offered in Silver, Black, Red, Blue, and Purple to allow you to mix or match the clamp, body, and valve assembly to create a look unique to your application. You may also purchase a plain or unassembled unit to anodize or color-coat as you like.
