This is the driveshaft shop's new level 5 axle set for the rear on the new EVO VIII. We first tested the factory axles only to find they have gone downhill from the 1st and 2nd gen cars. The material is weaker and a lot more brittle. The new level 5 axles are full chromoly units that have our special torsional centers that twist more under sever high shock, this helps the rest of the drive train from the harmful hit that damages drive train parts. This is a direct bolt on unit and comes complete with ABS rings installed.
The ACT Evo 8 Clutch is designed to replace the stock unit in your car with a stout, easy to drive upgrade. It consists of an organic street disc coupled with a heavy duty pressure plate and can be attached to any flywheel that replaces the stock flywheel such as the Fidanza unit below. This clutch is easy to drive and will hold over 400 whp with ease.
The Fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel for the Evo 8 features a remove-able steel friction material and can be easily serviced when the clutch is replaced. It is 4 lbs lighter than stock and goes hand in hand with a clutch install.
Each Exedy organic clutch kit comes with a genuine Exedy pressure plate, Exedy organic clutch disc, Exedy recommended alignment tool, and Exedy recommended release bearing

**No Throw-Out Bearing Included**
The Hyper Single Clutch is engineered to optimize performance for cars that are moderately modified, but do not require the clutch capacity of a multi-plate clutch. It has a forged aluminum cover that is anodized purple. The aluminum cover is stiffer than a stamped cover and therefore allows a higher lever ratio to maintain the pedal efforts at a reasonable level.
All Hyper Clutches come with a steel flywheel and a 6-puck cerametallic facing, spring center damper disc assembly. The disc is generally smaller and thinner than the OEM disc making for lower inertia and therefore quicker, easier shifting and less wear and tear on the transmission synchros. The higher clamp load and cerametallic friction facings give approximately twice the holding torque of the OEM clutch and generally higher than other single plate clutches. As with all cerametallic clutches, the street driveability may be marginal due to chattering and harsh engagement characteristics.

For high-powered applications, EXEDY offers twin disc Multi-Plate Clutches. These are designed for hot street action as well as drag, road and rally racing.
The twin plate clutches are rated for above 500hp to 750hp. The triple plate clutches are rated for up to and over 1000hp (for drag race applications). Twins come as with both spring damper discs and solid discs. Triples are all solid discs.
All of our multi-plate clutches come with a lightweight, chrome moly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Depending on the application, we have both strap drive and lug drive models. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance.
Engine modifications (e.g.. cam-timing-turbo modifications etc.) cause engine pulsation and vibrations. These vibrations can cause clutch rattle when the clutch pedal is depressed by movement on the intermediate separator plate in some applications. These noises will in no way affect the performance of the Exedy Multi Plate Clutch. This rattle is well accepted in the performance industry where engine modifications have been carried out.

It is a unique pull type clutch that is patented by Exedy. Carbon disc clutches put out far less heat than standard clutches and have nearly double the life of a metallic disc clutch. This new product is designed especially for the EVO 8 and horsepower levels up to 600. The clutch is very streetable and comfortable to drive. Pedal pressure increase is approx 10%. Great for drag & road racing. If vehicle is above 600 HP a triple carbon is available below.

We recommend Mitsubishi factory throw out bearings for use with all ACT clutches as they are a higher quality unit than those included in the ACT clutch kits.
